1. Acceptance

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Not a consumer reporting agency

CourtRecordsFree is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. ("FCRA"), and the information available through this site is not a "consumer report" under the FCRA.

You may not use this site, in whole or in part, to make any decision regarding:

• Employment, promotion, reassignment or retention of an employee
• Tenant screening or any housing decision
• Credit, loan, or insurance eligibility, terms or pricing
• Eligibility for a professional license or government benefit
• Any other purpose covered by the FCRA

If you need information for any of those purposes, you must obtain it from an FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency, which provides the subject with notice, a right to dispute inaccuracies, and other statutory protections that this site does not and cannot provide. Misuse of public records data for FCRA-covered decisions can expose you to statutory damages, punitive damages and attorney's fees.

3. Accuracy is not guaranteed

Information is aggregated from third-party public sources. It may be incomplete, outdated, mis-keyed, or associated with the wrong individual. Records that have been sealed, expunged, dismissed or overturned may still appear in cached third-party sources. An arrest, charge or indictment is not a conviction, and is not evidence of guilt. Do not rely on anything here without verifying it directly with the clerk of the court of record.

4. Permitted use

You agree that you will not:

• Use the site to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, defame or discriminate against any person
• Use information from the site for any FCRA-covered purpose (see section 2)
• Scrape, spider, bulk-download or systematically extract data from the site
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or other technical controls
• Resell, republish or redistribute data obtained through the site
• Use the site in violation of any applicable federal, state or local law

5. Third-party sites

The site links to government portals and third-party sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

6. Advertising

This site is free to use and supported by advertising, including through Google AdSense. Advertisements are served by third parties and their appearance is not an endorsement. See our privacy policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

7. Removal and correction

We provide a free removal and correction process at /removal. We do not now, and will not ever, charge a fee to remove or correct information. We honor valid sealing and expungement orders upon verification.

8. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or reputation, arising from your use of or inability to use the site — including any decision you make based on information found here.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the site or your violation of these terms, including any claim brought by a third party whose information you accessed.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. The effective date is shown below.
